Our first half-day retreat with the Dances in Central Iowa was wildly successful. We hope to do more in 2013 – stay tuned.
There is yet another opportunity for spiritual deepening this week-end in Des Moines – a Sufi Zikr Remembrance. A flier is attached and enclosed.
Our next monthly gathering will be Sunday, October 7 from 4-6 back at the PVA.

Mudita Sabato was raised Catholic and in her early 20’s she studied with a Lakota Sioux Medicine women, later she found herself on the path of Hinduism. She has studied the daily prayers of Islam, and in her early 30’s lived in the Himalayan Mountains, to study Tibetan Buddhism, with her teacher, Lama Tenzen Choden. Her path has helped to developed her inwardly in mystical understanding. In the 1980’s she became a Sufi Initiate, where she has traveled for the past 25 years. Some would even call her a Whirling Dervish. Today, she is a Sufi Guide/Teacher and group facilitator of sacred dance, walks, music, voice, movement and “Whirling as Meditation.”
